Any personal information processed by any of our affiliated web sites and mobile applications in connection with this Privacy Policy is controlled by Healthnet Ltd, which is considered the “data controller” of your personal information under European Union and UK data protection law. Personal information collected from you may be passed on to your nominated Pharmacy/Surgery for further processing. In such cases, your nominated Pharmacy/Surgery is considered a “data controller” under European Union and UK data protection laws. You can access the privacy policies of these Pharmacies/Surgeries from them directly

Healthnet Ltd, is committed to respecting your privacy and protecting your personal information.

  • We will be transparent about the information we are collecting, via our affiliated web sites and mobile applications, and what we will do with it.

  • We will use the information you give us for the purposes described in our Privacy Policy, which include providing you with pharmaceutical services you have requested

  • We will put in place measures to protect your information and keep it secure.

    1. Data collection

We collect data from Consumers and Pharmacists/Surgeries.

Consumers typically use our web sites and applications to interact with our partners, who are Pharmacies/Surgeries registered with us, to request filling of prescriptions issued by their doctors or surgeries. Consumers also interact with our web sites and applications to manage their health status such as BP levels etc. and manage their medication usage.

Pharmacists/Surgeries use our web sites and applications to register their business with us as well as to interact with Consumers to take prescription orders

  1. Data that we collect from Consumers

We collect both Personally Identifiable Data as well as Medicine Usage Data from Consumers

  • Personally Identifiable Data is data that consists of information such as name, address, phone number, date of birth, email address, NHS Number

  • Medicine Usage Data is data regarding prescription requests and the medication included therein, that is submitted to any one of the participating Pharmacies or Surgeries. Data collected also includes how often and when the Consumer takes the medication, as entered by the Consumer into the web site or the mobile application

  • Consumers’ Health information. This data is entered by the Consumer on the web site or the Mobile Application and includes such vital health information as their Blood Pressure readings, INR readings, Blood Glucose readings, BMI readings, Vaccinations taken, Allergies, Medical conditions as well as any choices the Consumer has taken regarding organ donation programs

  1. What do we use the data collected from Consumers for?

  • For forwarding such information to the Pharmacy, or Surgery, that the Consumer has nominated to receive such data. Information may include both the personally identifiable data or the medicine usage data.

  • For helping the Consumer manage their medication(s)

  • For tracking the Consumers’ health information

  • For notification to the Consumer when either ether medication is ready or the nominated Pharmacy/Surgery wants any special messages delivered to them on their mobile devices

  1. Data that we collect from Pharmacies

We collect Pharmacy names, address, email address, Phone numbers, Customer Id with Lexon UK, Pharmacy services it provides as well as Pharmacy opening and closing times

  1. What do we use the data collected from Pharmacies for?

  • To enable Consumers to nominate the Pharmacy when sending he Pharmacy any Consumer data whether it is personally Identifiable data or medicine usage data

  • To display the pharmacy names on any one of our affiliated web sites to promote the Pharmacy services

  • To send messages directly to the Pharmacy computer whether they are related to incoming prescriptions from Consumers or whether they are promotional or information messages

  1. Sharing with other parties

We do not share your Personally Identifiable Data with any other organization other than your designated Pharmacy or Surgery. This data is only kept on our servers, if you are using our Applications and only when you configure the application to connect directly to the Pharmacy or Surgery of your choice by selecting the Pharmacy or Surgery using their address within the Application settings.


We may share Medicine Usage Data with other Pharmaceutical or Marketing Organizations that intends to use that data solely for the purpose of trends and usage of specific medications in the different locations where the medication is used.

Medicine Usage Data may be passed to organizations with a legitimate interest including (but not limited to) other regulatory and enforcement authorities, NHS trusts, employers, Department of Health, universities and research institutions

  1. Data collection from affiliated websites

We use Google Analytics to measure and monitor the number of visitors and the web pages that they view on any one of our affiliated web sites. No Personal Data is collected from these sources and this data is solely used to identify the success of our marketing efforts in specific locations.

  1. Safeguarding your data

Our servers are secured against any unauthorised access and have firewalls, anti-virus software to restrict the unrecognised sources from entering in. Access level security and monitoring is in place with appropriate credentials.

  1. How long do we keep the data?

The General Data Protection Regulation states that personal data must be kept “no longer than is necessary for the purposes for which the personal data are processed”

We will review the data that is kept by us for a period of 84 months, after which, we will review the data and if it is no longer needed by the Consumer or the nominated Pharmacy or Surgery, we will delete the data.

  1. Your Rights

Under the GDPR, you have the following rights, which we will always work to uphold:

  • The right to be informed about our collection and use of your personal data. This Privacy Notice should tell you everything you need to know, but you can always contact us to find out more or to ask any questions at the address below

  • The right to access the personal data we hold about you.

  • The right to have your personal data rectified if any of your personal data held by us is inaccurate or incomplete.

  • The right to restrict (i.e. prevent) the processing of your personal data.

  • In addition, you, as a consumer or Pharmacist or Surgery, have a ‘right to be forgotten’. We will accomplish this in one of two ways:

    • Consumers using the PillManager mobile application, in association with the PatientManager application at the Pharmacy or Surgery, will be provided a “delete” function that, when selected, will ensure that the Consumer’s personal data, including their prescription data, is marked for deletion, or anonymized. Data may not be permanently deleted for a period of 24 months either due to compliance with legal obligations or instructions of a government authority such as the NHS in the UK.

    • You may request us to delete or ‘anonymize’ your personal data at any time. If you wish to exercise this right, please write to the Data Controller at the address below and we will ensure that your data is marked for deletion or anonymized. Data may not be permanently deleted for a period of 24 months either due to compliance with legal obligations or instructions of a government authority such as the NHS in the UK.

  • The right to object to us using your personal data for a particular purpose or purposes.

  • The right to data portability. This means that, if you have provided personal data to us directly, we are using it with your consent or for the performance of a contract, and that data is processed using automated means, you can ask us for a copy of that personal data to re-use with another service or business in many cases.

  • Rights relating to automated decision-making and profiling. We do not use your personal data in this way.

  • Further information about your rights can also be obtained from the Information Commissioner’s Office or your local Citizens Advice Bureau. If you have any cause for complaint about our use of your personal data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office.
